Exhilarating Itineraries in Galapagos, Mexico and California

Lindblad Expeditions introduces new exhilarating shorter itineraries in Galapagos, Mexico and California.
All the Magic of Galapagos in Less Time. Galápagos is a dream destination for many travelers, but not everyone has the luxury of time to commit to an extended voyage. That’s why Lindblad Expeditions for the first time in their 50+ years of bringing citizen explorers there, are delighted to introduce brand-new shorter itineraries. Discover it all in one exhilarating, adventure-packed expedition and do it in just one week.
Wild Galápagos Escape
Experience all that Galápagos offers. You’ll wake up-close among lively colonies of wildlife –marine iguanas, frigate birds, blue-footed boobies, and more – all unfazed by your presence. And explore dazzling undersea as you paddleboard, kayak, and snorkel in rich waters teeming with fish, sea turtles, penguins and playful sea lions. 7 days/6 nights. Expeditions depart Thursday or Saturday. Aboard the yacht-like National Geographic Islander
Wild Galápagos and Peru Escape
Discover two iconic wonders at once. Begin in Peru where you’ll journey on the first-class Inca Rail between Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu. Remain late in the day to experience sunset at the fabled sacred site. Then head for Galápagos to hike, kayak, paddleboard, and Zodiac cruise among iconic wildlife and otherworldly landscapes. 9 days/8 nights. Expeditions depart Saturday. Aboard the yacht-like National Geographic Islander
New! 4-Day Wildness & Wellness Getaways on the California and Mexico Coast on 2 Voyages
Join one of Lindblad Expeditions’ two new Base Camp getaways—4-day, ship-based adventures that are part safari, part adult summer camp. They erase the line between getting there and being there. And they take you to extraordinary, revitalizing places.
Each base camp is designed to foster a fresh sense of well-being, inspire discoveries, and create opportunities to collide with interesting others. It’s a lot of free-roaming, fresh-air goodness in untrammeled places—Lindblad Expeditions ships, National Geographic Sea Lion, and National Geographic Venture provide the access— and nature, plus onboard wellness, experts, and unique experiences, does the rest.
Base Camp Baja
Welcome to a new kind of getaway. Lindblad Expeditions teamed up with exhale spa to create a 5-day Wildness + Wellness adventure in Mexico’s shimmering Sea of Cortez, aboard the National Geographic Venture. Board your floating base camp in Cabo, and you’ll head to Espiritu Santo and Isla Partida, two of the loveliest islands in the Sea—to actively explore unsullied landscapes, revel in pure nature, and enjoy exhale’s award-winning wellbeing programs. Challenge body and mind with exhale fitness classes including Core Fusion Bootcamp, restorative Chill Yoga, and more. 5-days/4 nights expeditions begin in December.
Base Camp Channel Islands
Explore the Channel Islands National Park, five islands cupped within the span between Santa Barbara and the LA neighborhood of San Pedro. Miles of ocean separate it from the Southern California mainland, and half of the park sits underwater. So being able to get there effortlessly, to move freely around the islands leisurely and in genuine comfort, and be able to explore the land and undersea, is what makes Lindblad Expeditions’ Base Camp adventure unique. The islands’ isolation has kept them relatively undeveloped and in-tact. Of the 2,000 species of plants and animals within the vast National Park, 145 exist nowhere else in the world. Marine life ranges from microscopic plankton to the blue whale, the largest animal to live on Earth. Reasons why many naturalists call the Channel Islands the ‘Galápagos of North America’. And with acres of trails to walk or hike, sea caves to explore by kayak or paddleboard, undersea realms to enter, and landscapes and bird colonies to observe and capture, the Park is a spirit-lifting place to be. And now, the alluring remoteness that has motivated people to protect these landscapes and surrounding ocean, is no barrier. 5 days/4 nights aboard the National Geographic Sea Lion. Expeditions begin October 2018.
